Pina Colada Burgers

I absolutely love a good burger.  And I really love a burger with lots of flavor and a little extra “kick”.  while browsing the Camp Chef website I spotted something I just had to try, and I was not disappointed!  These burgers are so good, you have to give them a try!

Pina Colada Burger

2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 C teriyaki sauce
Salt and pepper
2 T butter, melted
Sliced pineapple, fresh w/ core intact
Sliced Colby jack cheese
Cooked bacon
Hamburger buns
Pina Colada Sauce
1/3 C mayonnaise
1 small can crushed pineapple
2/3 C cream of coconut
1/3 C sour cream

Make the pina colada sauce by mixing the four ingredients and set aside.

Mix ground beef with teriyaki sauce and form into 8 patties. Press an indent into the center of each patty so they don’t get too think as they cook. Season each side with salt and pepper.

Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill patties for 3 -4 minutes each side for medium and 5 – 6 minutes for jerky, or well done. You can baste with additional teriyaki sauce if you would like. Finish by adding a slice of cheese and letting it melt.

Grill pineapple and brush with a little butter. Remove from the grill and remove the core. Place the burger on your bun (we toasted them on a griddle – awesome) top with sauce, a pineapple ring and bacon. Then simply sit down and enjoy an awesome burger!!
